I am the great grandson of Joseph Persky and Lena Zamara from Kremenchuk, Poltava, Ukraine. Joseph Persky’s parents were Wilhelm and Sarah Persky and Lena Zamara’s parents were Solomon and Sarah Zamaraine both of whom remained in the Ukraine. Joseph Persky had four brothers (Harry, Serge, Morris and Samuel) and have no about information on them. Lena Zamara also had brothers and sisters of which I have pictures but no information on them.
Joseph Persky and Lena Zamara had four children, Hyman Persky, Louis Persky, Meyer Persky and Jennifer Persky who married into the Soforenko family. All the children were born in Kremenchuk, Poltava, Ukraine.
Joseph Persky and Lena Zamara came to America in 1894. They lived in Massachusetts until 1917 and then moved to Rhode Island.
I am the grandson of Hyman Persky and Pauline Epstein. Pauline Epstein was the daughter Abraham Simon Epstein who came to America in 1889.
